Come, catch a glimpse of college life through the lens of collegiate ministry. The Freshmen Fusion ..

Ohio Collegiate Ministries Core Values

1) God's Presence

We desire God’s presence to be unquestionably evident throughout our spheres of life. We are determined to follow God’s leadership in our planning, processes, and strategy, working to ensure that our activities are initiated by God and saturated with the power of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, we commit to seeking and following God’s direction, regardless of timing, limitation or cost
.

2) Relationships

Deep and meaningful connection with God and people are the two most important parts of a persons spiritual life. Unfortunately, our world is full of individuals who are relationally disconnected and broken. By sharing Christ and the restorative power of the gospel message, we strive to develop stronger believers, stronger families, stronger churches, and a stronger love for those who do not know Christ personally.

3) Relevance

Cultural and contextual awareness increase our opportunities and ability to connect with more people, and to connect more people with Christ. God’s message of love, salvation, and restored relationship are unchanging, but our methods of connecting people to Christ and the church must remain flexible and revisable within an ever-changing world.

4) Excellence

We are God’s workmanship created in God’s image each with specific purpose(s) in Christ. We commit to life fully; doing all that we do with greatness, not for our self-elevation, but to honor and glorify God.

5) Next Generation

We desire to embrace and to invest in the next generation of believers and non-believers. We will challenge and equip them to be lovers of Christ whose lives transform the world with the message and application of the gospel.

6) Effectiveness

Our daily activities and schedules could be spent in numerous ways, each being beneficial in enhancing Christian ministry in Ohio. The task set before us, however, is the Great Commission. Thus, with limited time and resources, we are determined to do the right things. We commit to leveraging our time, strengths, skills, abilities, and resources to furthering the gospel. To this commitment, all we do must align.

7) Networking

We realize that networks are vital in bringing people and resources together to enhance and strengthen ministries, connectivity, and kingdom impact. Accordingly, we desire to develop and extend genuine and mutually beneficial networks that will enable believers to fulfill the Great Commission in Ohio and beyond.

8) Teamwork

We desire to do life together. As we work side by side with non-believers, Christ followers, church leaders, and churches, we share in the joy of seeing all of our unique strengths, abilities, and gifts united to accomplish God’s kingdom purposes from our communities to the ends of the earth.

9) Diversity

We desire diversity in our relationships, in our communities, and our ministries. We celebrate all cultures, races, personalities, ages, and backgrounds as they reflect the beauty and creativity of our Maker. Our differences individually, complete us corporately.

10) Serving

God has placed in each of us a desire to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. As we serve God first, others second, and ourselves last, we fulfill God’s calling on our lives, all working toward the greatest cause: seeing God’s kingdom purposes accomplished while we walk the earth.

11) Innovation & Risk

We desire to be open to new ideas, styles, and approaches that will help us follow God’s calling. We are willing to try the novel, making mistakes, changing directions, and learning from failures, as necessary. We adopt this understanding knowing that with great risk and boldness often come great rewards and blessing.

12) Leadership Development

We understand the importance of vibrant and healthy leadership within our global world, and we as collegiate ministries are in the unique position to change dramatically the direction of churches, communities, institutions, and nations. We will leverage our influence to raise a generation of leaders who will lead their families, their workplaces, and their churches toward a greater knowledge of and connection with Christ.
